Beyond Orange! Pumpkins are sage blue, rosy-salmon, dark green, pale cream, or gold and splattered and streaked with contrast. In this class, we will recreate the painterly expressions that blanket the surface of this classic icon of autumn. This course offers an easy, solid start for anyone new to the craft, as Heidi shares her techniques to create a basic form, attach stems, leaves, or tendrils, and how to choose, blend and layer fibers. These skills can be applied beyond pumpkins and will add to the repertoire of the experienced needlefelter, too. Each student can expect to finish one 4-inch pumpkin in class.
